Welcome to High Tide! As the eldest dispensary in Brookings, OR there is a fair amount of history that comes with the shop. Founded prior to recreational cannabis, High Tide started out as a staple for Oregon Medical Marijuana patients and grew into the recreational market. Find out more below!
Medical to Recreational and Beyond!
Our journey began when owners, Jason and Briget, opened doors in August 2014. As a strictly medical shop we assisted patients with obtaining medical cards, hosting monthly doctor days in partnership with Excaliber Medical Clinics. Working with licensed local growers the, back room was bursting with jars full of coastal and southern Oregon grown cannabis. Extracts were just getting off the ground, and edibles were old school and homemade by Briget herself.

In late 2014 recreational cannabis was passed and sales began October 1, 2015 just a little over a year after opening as a medical cannabis shop. With the addition of a recreational market, Jason and Briget lost no time in preparing for an increase in cannabis consumption. The neighboring suite to the existing medical shop was procured and remodeled to create an atmosphere capable of handling both medical and recreational clients.

Seven years later, here we are... still doing our thing; tracking down the best Oregon has to offer in cannabis products.
Seaweedz
As the recreational market was growing, Jason was always keeping his eye out on how he could become more self sufficient for his own shop. His thought process of vertically integrating his dispensary led to the development of our cannabis farm, Seaweedz LLC, in 2016.
Coastal Grown Cannabis
Located 10 miles north of High Tide Wellness Center's south location, Seaweedz is the definition of coastal grown cannabis. A team of typically 3-5, this team hustles hard to accomplish the numerous duties on the farm. After the first harvest in October 2017 the farm took off, tackling outdoor, greenhouse, indoor and even large grade commercial hemp grows over the subsequent 5 years.
Most recently in 2021, their pre-roll line Boomerangz (in partnership with street legend Hot Sauce), took off are available for purchase at exclusive shops thru Oregon. Looking for loose flower from the farm? Drop into High Tide and try from the extensive selection of locally grown strains - outdoor, greenhouse, and indoor is often on the shelf, just ask!

The young man and young lady in there were stellar! I'm visiting my parents from out of state and saw familiar products and was totally amazed at the price difference! Loved the fact that they wanted to chat and were knowledgeable on their products.
